You’re engaged! You’re in love! Congratulations! This can be some of the most exciting times of your life! This can also be some of the most stressful times in your life. There is so much to think about: the ceremony, reception, guests, bridal party, pleasing your family members, how to finance it all, and the list could go on and on. So where does marriage preparation fit into all this? Often, amidst the chaos of planning a wedding, it’s hard to keep in perspective that a wedding is just one day while a marriage is for the rest of your life.
“We had an excellent time and this was very good for our relationship.”
“I thought this was going to be incredibly boring, but it was a lot of fun.”
“This retreat left all my expectations in the dust. I was expecting to be preached at and found acceptance for our problems, as well as compassionate ears to listen and offer words of encouragement.”
“All of the talks seemed to be well thought out, informative, and relevant to modern married life.”
“Exceeded my expectations. Thank you for being so inclusive to non-Catholic participants.”
To be “more free to express my feelings and thoughts toward my fiancee.”
“Become more aware of what the Church expects.”
Realize they “are not alone with specific problems.”
“Make our relationship stronger.”
You’re Engaged! Congratulations!
